Word-of-Fact

Vegas guns are made of explosive, but also machine gun bullets, and often work on a totally different principle than the big guns usually used.

The Woofgun project was started by an aspiring firearms enthusiast, who “searched for a strange montage of magnets, shots, explosions and gun violence that would be entertaining to all kinds of audiences.”

The Vegas guns first arrived in San Diego (with a few jewelry and gift-wrapped boxes delivered to customers) in August, 1992.

Since then, there have been 247,969 guns in operation in Vegas—then called O2 Vegas.

Sixty-five guns were shot between December 1995 and March 1996, with a further eight being shot in November 1998 and a further three being shot on January 1, 2000.

They are still being fired in the hours before the Vegas strip officially closes, on the last weekend of the night. On February 20, 2006, Vegas oversaw the firing of 132 guns at the Paramount Theater in support of the victims of the Nice Flats Event.
